Chromaline UDC-ACE (Blue) Dual Cure Emulsion - 1 Gallon
Premium blue dual-cure screen printing emulsion engineered for automatic coating systems and demanding production environments, delivering exceptional water and solvent resistance, outstanding image quality, superior stencil durability, and easy reclaiming.
Characteristics
Chromaline UDC-ACE (Blue) Dual Cure Emulsion is a high-performance diazo-sensitized dual-cure emulsion developed for screen printers who require maximum stencil durability across the broadest range of printing applications. Designed to perform exceptionally well with automatic coating equipment while remaining equally effective for manual coating, UDC-ACE combines excellent coating consistency, wide exposure latitude, and outstanding image resolution for high-volume production environments.
Formulated to withstand aggressive water-based, discharge, solvent, UV, and plastisol ink systems, UDC-ACE produces extremely durable stencils capable of maintaining fine image detail throughout long production runs. Its advanced chemistry offers excellent resistance to humidity and moisture, making it an outstanding choice for shops operating in challenging environmental conditions or using demanding ink systems.
The blue formulation provides excellent stencil visibility during coating, exposure, and registration, while the medium-high viscosity creates smooth, uniform stencil build with excellent mesh bridging. UDC-ACE is capable of resolving extremely fine image detail and halftones while maintaining clean edges and outstanding print definition on both textile and graphic printing applications.
Despite its exceptional durability, UDC-ACE remains easy to reclaim with proper screen reclaiming chemicals and pressure washing. Its forgiving exposure characteristics help simplify screen making while delivering consistent, repeatable results across a wide variety of mesh counts, exposure systems, and production environments.

- Mix the supplied diazo sensitizer thoroughly with distilled water before adding it to the emulsion.
- Follow the manufacturer’s sensitizing and mixing instructions to ensure complete activation.
- Degrease the mesh completely before coating to achieve maximum stencil adhesion.
- Apply smooth, even coatings using an automatic coating system or a clean scoop coater.
- Dry coated screens completely in a clean, dust-free darkroom with the print side facing downward.
- Use an exposure calculator or step-wedge test to establish the optimal exposure time for your exposure unit, mesh count, and coating thickness.
- UDC-ACE is ideal for shops printing aggressive water-based, discharge, UV, solvent, and other demanding ink systems.
- Verify that screens are fully exposed before printing to achieve maximum water, solvent, and humidity resistance.
- Store sensitized emulsion between 60–80°F and protect it from freezing, excessive heat, and direct light.
- Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent contamination and premature drying.
- Reclaim screens promptly after production using a quality emulsion remover and pressure washer.
- Always test exposure, ink resistance, and reclaiming procedures under actual production conditions before beginning a long print run.
