Characteristics
The GSF 23X31 230/40 TT Standard Frame is a professional pre-stretched aluminum screen printing frame designed for garment decorators who require excellent detail reproduction, efficient ink transfer, and dependable mesh tension.
This frame features 230/40 thin thread mesh, combining a 230 mesh count with a fine 40-micron thread diameter. By using a thinner thread while maintaining the 230 mesh count, the screen provides increased open area compared with conventional mesh constructions. The additional open area allows ink to pass through the screen more efficiently while maintaining the fine resolution expected from a high mesh count.
GSF Thin Thread TexScreen mesh is manufactured from low-elongation polyester monofilament and is specifically designed for garment printing applications. Its improved ink flow can allow printers to use less squeegee pressure while maintaining consistent ink transfer and excellent image definition.
The 230/40 configuration is particularly well suited for fine-detail graphics, halftones, small text, simulated process printing, process-color work, and other applications requiring controlled ink deposits and precise stencil definition.
Thin thread construction can also provide advantages when printing water-based inks. The increased open area promotes easier ink flow through the mesh and can help water-based inks remain open longer during production. It is also suitable for plastisol and other compatible textile ink systems.
The screen is professionally stretched onto GSF's durable 23" x 31" aluminum frame constructed from 1.5" x 1.5" aluminum tubing.
