The Diamond Maxitronic 48" Squeegee Sharpener is a professional fully automatic sharpening system designed to restore worn screen printing squeegee blades to a straight, uniform, and consistent printing edge. With a maximum sharpening length of 48" (122 cm), the Maxitronic is an excellent solution for medium- to high-production textile, graphics, industrial, and specialty screen-printing operations.

Unlike manual sharpening systems that require the operator to move the grinding assembly across the blade, the Maxitronic automates the sharpening process for improved repeatability and operator efficiency. The automatic system controls the movement of the diamond sharpening wheel across the squeegee, helping maintain uniform grinding pressure and controlled material removal throughout each sharpening cycle.

The Maxitronic uses industrial-strength diamond sharpening wheels rather than conventional sanding belts. Diamond-wheel technology provides controlled removal of polyurethane while producing a precise, consistent printing edge across the length of the squeegee.

Two straight/square-edge diamond wheels are supplied standard. The included 120- and 230-grit wheels provide different levels of sharpening and finishing, allowing operators to restore worn blades and produce a smooth, consistent working edge. Additional sharpening profiles and wheel configurations may be available for specialized applications.

The Maxitronic securely holds the squeegee by the blade during sharpening. This design allows the machine to accommodate a variety of squeegee holder styles while maintaining consistent blade positioning throughout the sharpening process.

Maintaining a straight and uniform squeegee edge is critical to controlling ink deposit, print definition, coverage, and overall printing consistency. Rounded, nicked, uneven, or worn squeegees can negatively affect print quality. Regular resurfacing allows otherwise usable polyurethane blades to be restored instead of prematurely replaced.

The 48" Maxitronic is supplied as a free-standing system with an integrated stand. A vacuum system is included with the 100-115V configuration to help collect polyurethane particles generated during sharpening, contributing to a cleaner production and maintenance environment.

For shops maintaining a large inventory of production squeegees, the automatic operation of the Maxitronic can significantly simplify routine blade maintenance while providing the precision and repeatability required for professional screen-printing production.
